This is a Hudson rocking chair, designed by Philippe Starck for Emeco in 2000. The piece was named by Starck after Ian Schrager's hotel in NYC of the same name. The frame of the rocker is comprised of lightweight recycled aluminum, and this example has been powder-coated in a red orange persimmon color. It has a life expectancy of at least 150 years.
This rocking chair measures 23.5 inches deep, 15.5 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. It has a seat height of 18.75 inches. The bottom of the rails may show a few scratches from storage. Overall, this chair is in very good condition. Please see photos.
